Ettalong is a small but growing seaside community on the NSW Central Coast, about 90 kilometres or less than two hour's driving north from Sydney. It's just outside laidback Ettalong beach, which sports a stretch of resorts and recreational facilities for all physical levels. The town's nearest neighbours are Umina Beach to the south and Woy Woy further inland. What these towns have in common is Brisbane Water, where the ocean waves roll in to be welcomed by surfers and sightseers. Ettalong is a great summer escape, but also near enough to Newcastle and Sydney for a quick weekend spell.
